Katie Couric: Palin v Biden On Roe v Wade

The McCain campaign most likely is having a team meeting and writing a press-release which will accuse Katie Couric of being a sexist. Katie Couric has done a great public service by asking Palin some real questions and giving voters the opportunity to see how Palin answers.

What is most alarming about Palin’s answer to Couric is that Palin says she believes in ‘privacy’ which is a main component of the Roe v Wade decision in 1973.  According to the Roe decision, most laws against abortion in the United States violated a constitutional right to privacy under the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.

So it seems that Palin disagrees with Roe v Wade but doesn’t understand the fundamentals of Roe v Wade since she believes in the ‘privacy’ dynamic. Palin doesn’t seem to get the nuances of any issue. Just incredible.

Show Me The Money! John Edwards’ Mistress Will NOT Seek Paternity Test

Surprise, surprise, Rielle Hunter, John Edwards’ mistress won’t seek a paternity test to prove whether he’s the father of her 5-month-old child, her lawyer said Saturday.

In a statement he provided to the Washington Post, attorney Robert Gordon said that Rielle Hunter is a private citizen and that she will not comment further on the media frenzy sparked Friday when Edwards publicly acknowledged the affair.

“She wishes to maintain her privacy” and the privacy of her child, Gordon said in the statement. “Furthermore, Rielle will not participate in DNA testing or any other invasion of her … privacy now or in the future.”

Gordon said Saturday that he would not immediately be releasing the statement to anyone else and will not be doing interviews about it.

After months of denying the affair, Edwards admitted making “a serious error in judgment” in 2006 when he had an affair with Hunter, a filmmaker who worked making videos for his presidential campaign.

Call me cynical, but I am sure that there is some ‘indirect’ transfer of monies going on.  Afterall Rielle isn’t working and she has to live and provide for her child.

What’s the next move for Rielle – Europe?

John Edwards Admits Affair; Denies Love Child Is His

John Edwards repeatedly lied during his Presidential campaign about an extramarital affair with a novice filmmaker, the former Senator admitted to ABC News today.

In an interview for broadcast tonight on Nightline, Edwards told ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff he did have an affair with 44-year old Rielle Hunter, but said that he did not love her.

Scandal: John Edwards’ “Alleged” Lover. July 22 – Part 2

Published In The Enquirer on July 22, 2008.  Vice Presidential candidate Sen. John Edwards was caught visiting his mistress and secret love child at 2:40 this morning in a Los Angeles hotel by the NATIONAL ENQUIRER.

The married ex-senator from North Carolina – whose wife Elizabeth continues to battle cancer — met with his mistress, blonde divorcée Rielle Hunter, at the Beverly Hilton on Monday night, July 21 – and the NATIONAL ENQUIRER was there! He didn’t leave until early the next morning.

Rielle had driven to Los Angeles from Santa Barbara with a male friend for the rendezvous with Edwards. The former senator attended a press event Monday afternoon with L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa on the topic of how to combat homelessness.

But a months-long NATIONAL ENQUIRER investigation had yielded information that Rielle and Edwards, 54, had arranged to secretly meet afterward and for the ex-senator to spend some time with both his mistress and the love child who he refuses to publicly acknowledge as his own.

The NATIONAL ENQUIRER broke the story of Edwards’ love child scandal last year, when Rielle was still pregnant and Edwards was still considered a strong candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Both parties denied the NATIONAL ENQUIRER report and a close friend of Edwards’ came forward and said he was the father of Rielle’s baby. But sources told the NATIONAL ENQUIRER a far different story – they revealed that Edwards was engineering a massive cover up of his shocking infidelity.

Sources came forward after that story appeared and told The NATIONAL ENQUIRER that Edwards and Rielle had met secretly several times, so that he could see his baby and continue his relationship with Rielle.

The NATIONAL ENQUIRER learned ahead of time that one such meeting was set for yesterday.

At 9:45 p.m. (PST) Monday,  Edwards appeared at the hotel, and was dropped off at a side entrance. NATIONAL ENQUIRER reporter Alan Butterfield witnessed the ex-senator get out of a BMW driven by a male companion and stroll into the hotel.

Said Butterfield: “Edwards was not carrying anything. He walked in alone. He was wearing a blue dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up. He was looking around nervously before he entered the hotel.”

“Once inside, he interestingly bypassed the lobby and ducked down a side stairs to go to the bottom floor to catch the elevator up – rather than taking the elevator in the main lobby. He went out of his way not to be seen.”

Scandal: John Edwards’ ‘Alleged’ Lover. In The Beginning – Part 1

Published In The Enquirer on December 19, 2007.  Presidential candidate John Edwards is caught up in a love child scandal, a blockbuster ENQUIRER investigation has discovered.  IF this is true my guess is John Edwards will not be Obama’s VP.

Presidential candidate John Edwards is caught up in a love child scandal, a blockbuster ENQUIRER investigation has discovered.

The ENQUIRER has learned exclusively that Rielle Hunter, a woman linked to Edwards in a cheating scandal earlier this year, is more than six months pregnant — and she’s told a close confidante that Edwards is the father of her baby!

The ENQUIRER’s political bombshell comes just weeks after Edwards emphatically denied having an affair with Rielle, who formerly worked on his campaign and told another close pal that she was romantically involved with the married ex-senator.

The ENQUIRER has now confirmed not only that Rielle is expecting, but that she’s gone into hiding with the help of a former aide to Edwards. The visibly pregnant blonde has relocated from the New York area to Chapel Hill, N.C., where she is living in an upscale gated community near political operative Andrew Young, who’s been extremely close to Edwards for years and was a key official in his presidential campaign.

And in a bizarre twist, Young — a 41-year-old married man with young children — now claims HE is the father of Rielle’s baby! But others are skeptical, wondering if Young’s paternity claim is a cover-up to protect Edwards.

Meanwhile, Edwards’ cancer-stricken wife Elizabeth has joined him on the campaign trail.

Janet Jackson’s Boop Went To Court; Why Then Won’t We Impeach President Boop?

Has law in America become a joke?!  Are we willing to waste tax payers money and judges time by sending a case to court about someone’s boop popping out of fabric on television but we won’t impeach a president who gravely abused his powers?!

In the now infamous “nipplegate” episode involving Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake and their halftime performance during the 2004 NFL Superbowl broadcast which was watched by approximately 90 million — the actual nipple incident was seen by much less than 90 million because it happened in a flash.

Timberlake grabbed Jackson’s breast and ripped off her bustier, exposing her boob even though her nipple was actually covered by a star shaped object.  It seemed to me that the entire ‘incident’ was over before anyone really had a chance to notice.  But millions, by choice, caught a glimpse of Janet’s felonious boob thanks to the internet and madness ensued.  Fines were thrown around, press conferences were held and the media went into a frenzy!

Today, the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the Federal Communications Commission “acted arbitrarily and capriciously” in issuing the fine over the deeply alarming image of the naked, star covered boob.

I’m rehashing the story of ‘nipplegate’ because it is ridiculous to me that a breast could be bought up on charges but George W. Bush won’t be impeached?  How ridiculous is this?

I understand Congressman Dennis Kucinich’s frustrations that his colleagues in congress continue to hold hearings to investigate the Bush administration’s alleged constitutional violations, but refuse to hold President George W. Bush accountable for what Kucinich believes are High Crimes and Misdemeanors.

“How many more hearings do we need to have to prove this administration has violated the constitution, taken the law into its own hands, and condoned torture?” Kucinich said in an interview. “There is a point at which you reduce congress to a debating society which diminishes Congress’s role.”

Kucinich has spent the past year making a case for impeaching President Bush. Last year, he introduced a resolution to impeach Vice President Dick Cheney. But that effort failed. In fact, it barely received any media coverage.

On June 9, Kucinich introduced a resolution on the House floor calling for the impeachment of President Bush and then spent nearly five hours reading 35 articles of impeachment against President Bush, alleging the president was guilty of a wide-range of crimes, into the Congressional Record.

The articles of impeachment were introduced a few days after the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence released a long-awaited report on prewar Iraq intelligence that concluded President Bush and Vice President Cheney knowingly lied to the public and to Congress about Iraq’s links to al-Qaeda and the threat the country posed to the U.S. in the aftermath of 9/11.

Ever Use Birth Control? Planned Parenthood Ad Exposes McCain’s Position

Planned Parenthood Action Fund is launching a new ad Wednesday in crucial battleground states set to highlight a campaign trail moment John McCain would rather soon forget.

The 30-second spot aimed at women voters shows McCain’s apparent unease when a reporter asked him last week whether it was unfair that some insurance plans covered Viagra and not birth control.

“Ever use birth control? Then you’ll want to hear this,” the ad’s narrator states before a flustered McCain is shown saying, “I don’t know enough about it to give you an informed answer.”

Planned Parenthood spokesman Tait Sye says the ad will run in Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, New Mexico, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Washington, D.C. during television programs popular with women — including Wednesday’s season premier of “Project Runway” and “Army Wives” on Lifetime. It will also air during Oprah in some markets.
