Drama: Congressman Dennis Kucinich Calls for Bush Impeachment

Impeach George W. Bush.  That is what Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich wants to do.  He defied his party leadership on Monday by calling for the impeachment of George W. Bush for launching the Iraq war — but his declaration is not expected to go far.

He declared his intentions on the house floor by giving a summary of his intention to put forward more than two dozen charges against Bush on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives.

The former presidential candidate Kucinich accused G.W. Bush of executing a “calculated and wide-ranging strategy” to deceive citizens and Congress into believing that Iraq posed an imminent threat to the United States.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi has consistently said that impeachment was “off the table.”

  1. All I can say is this- yesterday I got my stimulus check(gag reflex) and I wondered what to do with it. Now I know where it is going. I will donate as much as I can to the Reelection of Congressman Dennis Kucinich of the great state of Ohio. Makes me proud to be a Buckeye!

  2. You and me both Cheryl! I think Congress should follow through on impeaching Bush. Regardless that time is running out and other political reasons this should be persued! G.W. has decimated America on so many levels and history books should be able to label him as being IMPEACHED! He did not serve the American people in any form or manner whatsoever. He served himself and his interests.
