I usually don’t read posts that make women look helpless and spineless but this post was in my ‘tag surfer’ so I read some of it. A Clinton supporter who is peeved at Obama posted a piece that was so acrimonious that it made me wonder why some Clinton supporters feel this way. I’m not trying to denigrate the author so I’m not going to list the blog’s address. (I’ll email it to you if you want to read the entire post in context but I won’t post it wantonly).
I am continually baffled at the anger towards Obama from Hillary supporters like this woman. I don’t believe all Clinton supporters are this way and I don’t believe that Hillary advocates these feelings. Hillary is not a weak woman in any manner or form. She is a strong woman and she is one of the most powerful women in America. Do the members of “Hillary’s army” believe that acting weak is honoring Hillary? They’ve got to be delusional if they believe that.
Below are some of the blogger’s quotes:
1. “I’ve been thinking about the onslaught and barrage of negativism Hillary faced on a daily basis because she was a woman and because she was Bill’s wife.”
2. “Mr. Obama we already know you’ll do and say anything to get elected so we don’t have to ask why YOUdidn’t say something about the reprehensible sexist behavior of the MSM when they were “reporting” on Hillary.”
3. “You made a speech about racism and you should have made one on sexism. Had you done so, many in us in Hillary’s army would hold a different opinion of you now.”
As a woman, life isn’t always fair but I refuse to be a victim. I refuse to feel sorry for myself and act defeated and powerless and blame everything on someone else. This is what these women seem to do. They seem to have continuous pity parties and blame someone else for all their despair, anguish and misery.
They behave as if they live in Saudi Arabia and have no control over their lives. They behave as if they can’t defend their rights and they need someone to save them from everything – even things they have complete control over.

Damn — what a 4 hour 48 minute marathon!!! During the match neither men looked tired, they looked fresh throughout!
Rafael Nadal ended Roger Federer’s five-year reign at Wimbledon surviving three rain delays in winning a riveting five-set marathon to claim his first title at the All England Club. He won 6-4, 6-4, 6-7, 6-7, 9-7.
Nadal becomes the first man since Bjorn Borg in 1980 to win the French Open and Wimbledon in the same season.
Federer and Nadal battled into the fifth set at the Wimbledon men’s final before a second rain delay halted play.
Federer fought off two championship points to win a fourth-set tiebreaker 10-8 and force the final set, which was tied at 2 when play stopped.
Nadal won the first two sets, but Roger Federer returned from a rain delay to win the third in the men’s Wimbledon final Sunday at the All England Club.
Nadal, ranked second in the world, won the first two sets 6-4, 6-4 in a bid for his first Wimbledon crown. But Federer closed out the third set by winning a tiebreaker 7-5 after a rain delay of 1 hour, 25 minutes.
The matchup is the third straight in the tournament between the Spaniard and world No. 1 Federer who was seeking his sixth consecutive title in the grass-court Grand Slam.
Nadal is the first Spaniard to win Wimbledon since Manolo Santana in 1966.

The hopefulness that comes with a new president taking office can’t erase the subprime lending disaster and will not resuscitate homes values overnight — presidents have no direct ability to reduce rising mortgage rates.
Both Senators Barack Obama and John McCain promise help for homeowners facing foreclosure.
Obama calls for a broader role for government than McCain, but both candidates envision the Federal Housing Administration providing new, cheaper mortgages to distressed homeowners who otherwise would have difficulty refinancing into more secure government-insured loans with lower monthly payments.
For the plans to work, lenders would have to be willing to take a substantial loss by reducing the amount owed on the loan. Some lenders would have a powerful incentive to take the losses because a refinancing deal could allow them to recover far more money than they would get from the costly process of foreclosing on the property and trying to resell it.
The FHA piece of the Dodd plan would cost close to $1 billion and would help more people. The funds would come from diverting money in the early years from an affordable housing fund financed by the profits of mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
McCain’s FHA provision is estimated to cost from $3 billion to $10 billion and would help less people. The funds would come from either cutting government spending elsewhere or having the federal government borrow more.
