Video: McCain Is Nobody’s Diplomat

Posted by Paulette on June 14, 2008

I disagree with what the majority of the American people want.”  says John McCain defiantly.

His attitude is he doesn’t care what people think, he will do what he wants and he doesn’t care who knows it – he has the same attitude and mind-set as George W. Bush.

John McCain proves to be an arrogant, rude, overly ambitious warmonger. He has war on his mind and that’s driving all his decisions.  Even conservative Pat Buchanan says that he is nervous because McCain is worst than Cheney when it comes to desiring war.

McCain even admits that sheer ambition makes him go against his better judgement and lie to his audiences just to get them on his side in hopes of getting their votes.

He lies effortlessly and brazenly and when he is asked to clarify his dishonesty he smirks and sneers as if to say “how dare you ask me about my lies.”

John McCain is not of Presidential material and he has no sense of diplomacy.  America is already disliked by many of our international neighbors because of George W, won’t McCain make it worst?

Democrats Be Warned – Voting Problems Have Already Started!

Posted by Paulette on June 14, 2008

Fellow democrats, if you have been registered to vote for years or if you recently registered to vote PLEASE request a NEW VOTER I.D. CARD so that you know that you are in the recent computer system printouts and the correct polling location.  If you don’t have a CURRENT VOTER I.D. Card you might be prevented from voting on November 4.  There will be LOTS and LOTS of ‘trickery’ in November.   Plan ahead.

In the past voting was very simple. Now there are new rules that make it harder to vote. In many states you need to show a government picture ID to vote. You will need to bring a picture ID just in case.  Make sure the name on your Voter I.D. card MATCHES your government I.D. that you’ll present at the polling station.

You can be turned away from the polls if your name does not match exactly.  i.e., if your Voter ID card says Jane Marie Doe; your government ID says Jane Doe. A poll worker can use their discretion and prevent you from voting.  It will be THAT ridiculousness and THAT much trickery in November.  Now is the time to make sure your ducks are in a row — Cross your T’s and dot your I’s.

Read the article below from Shalia Dewan that details that the Secretary of State in Louisiana, a republican (just like the situation in Florida in 2000) is using her discretion to reject voter registration applications – some reasons are valid, some are not.

If you are not registered to vote you can register over-the-phone or on-line.  If you do not receive your voter ID card within 6 weeks, do it again!  No matter if you registered years ago and have not moved, make sure you have a Voter ID Card in your ‘hands’ when you go to vote on November 4.  It takes LESS than 5 minutes to register or re-order a new card.

Register by phone:  1-866-MYVOTE1 ( 1-866-698-6831 )

 Register on-line:  http://www.rockthevote.com/rtv_register.html?ms=googlevr7&gclid=CJeQpor79JMCFQKcFQodB3kUWQ

America: We Can’t Afford John McCain

Posted by Paulette on June 14, 2008

If you are an everyday working-class American or if you understand the values and problems of everyday working class Americans and if you are concerned about issues such as poverty, job loss, education, healthcare, environmental destruction, national security and freedom of choice, you’re probably a democrat.

If you are an American who desire a small government but don’t mind politicians who despite what they preach, lie and build a huge government corporation that is full of barefaced cronyism.  A government that has repeatedly appointed inexperienced inefficient individuals with political connections to important government posts, including positions with key responsibilities for public health and safety, you’re probbaly a happy republican.  Examples of some cronies are:

Michael Brown, the Under Secretary for Emergency Preparedness and Response at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).  Mr. Brown had little, if any, disaster-related experience prior to joining the agency. His previous position was as the commissioner of judges and stewards for the International Arabian Horse Association.

Daniel Craig, the Director of FEMA’s Recovery Division.  In this capacity, he “is responsible for planning and executing the federal government’s recovery efforts following major disasters and emergencies, both natural and mad made.”  Mr. Craig’s previous experience includes directing the eastern regional office of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Patrick J. Rhodes, FEMA’s Chief of Staff. As Chief of Staff, “he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the agency and for directing the implementation of the FEMA Director’s priorities and policies.”  Mr. Rhodes is a former television reporter.

Julie Myers was President Bush’s nominee for the position of Assistant Secretary for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at DHS. In that capacity, Ms. Myers would oversee the nation’s second-largest investigative agency and would be responsible for enforcement of immigration and customs law, as well as homeland security. She was a special assistant handling personnel issues.

Stewart Simonson, the Assistant Secretary for Public Health Emergency Preparedness at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). He was the nation’s principal government official in charge of protecting our civilian population from acts of bioterrorism.  Mr. Simonson is a lawyer, not a medical expert.

If you want a government that monitors your communication and spies on you then you’re probably a republican. If you want an out of touch incompetent government then vote republican.  Like John McCain himself said during a speech in Louisiana in early June,

“They (the republicans) have failed to keep up with the challenges of our time because many of their policies were designed for the problems and opportunities of the mid to late 20th Century, before the end of the Cold War (CW ended 1991); before the revolution in information technology (www went live April 30, 1993) and rise of the global economy.”

It is ridiculous to me to hear any democrat say that they won’t vote for Senator Barack Obama in the November general elections but will instead vote for Senator John McCain?!  I am perplexed.  How can true democrats say that?  Why would ANY democrat be willing to throw out the baby with the bath water on November 4?

As a matter of fact, why would ANY American, democrat or republican want a future America that will be weaker because of republican policies.  America desperately needs to rebuild and reestablish itself in a desperate way right now.  We need innovative forward-thinking practical workable solutions right now.   Maybe a republican like that will come along in the future but that republican is not John McCain.
