Drama: Congressman Dennis Kucinich Calls for Bush Impeachment

Posted by Paulette on June 9, 2008

Impeach George W. Bush.  That is what Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich wants to do.  He defied his party leadership on Monday by calling for the impeachment of George W. Bush for launching the Iraq war — but his declaration is not expected to go far.

He declared his intentions on the house floor by giving a summary of his intention to put forward more than two dozen charges against Bush on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives.

The former presidential candidate Kucinich accused G.W. Bush of executing a “calculated and wide-ranging strategy” to deceive citizens and Congress into believing that Iraq posed an imminent threat to the United States.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi has consistently said that impeachment was “off the table.”

Americans Moving to European countries because of economic slump here

Posted by Paulette on June 9, 2008

With the U.S. in a slump, some Americans are moving to Europe since they can have dual citizenship in European Union (EU) countries. Article below.

By ANDREW ABRAMSON

Palm Beach Post Staff Writer

For millions of Europeans who braved the Atlantic Ocean for a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty and dreams of a lavish life, there was little thought of ever emigrating back.

Yet for a new generation of Americans of European descent, the Old Country is becoming a new country full of promise and opportunity.

The creation of the European Union and its thriving economy is very appealing for Americans in a global economy.

“With an EU passport, I can live and work in 27 countries,” said Suzanne Mulvehill of Lake Worth. “With a U.S. passport, I can live and work in one.”

Americans can claim citizenship in any of the 27 European countries that are in the EU based on the nationality of their parents, or in some cases, grandparents and great-grandparents. Citizenship in one of those countries allows you to live and work in any EU nation.

Democrats: Help! The war has just begun.

Senator Obama to his staff and volunteers,

“Because we won, we now have no choice.  We have to win!”

Despite Senator McCain’s constant gaffes, disorienting speeches and disorganized campaign, the republicans are going to unite behind him. We are guaranteed that Karl Rove, who George W. Bush called ‘the architect’ is going to be a key strategy advisor.

Karl Rover was the Deputy Chief of Staff to President George W. Bush until August 2007.  He has headed the Office of Political Affairs, the Office of Public Liaison and The White House Office of Strategic Initiatives.  Karl Rove has a successful history of being the mastermind behind many victorious republican elections. Some of the most celebrated wins are the 1978 George W. Bush congressional campaign, the 1994 and 1998 Texas gubernatorial elections that George W. Bush won, the unsuccessful 1980 George H. W. Bush campaign, he worked with the 1984 Reagan-Bush presidential campaign, George W. Bush’s 2000 and 2004 presidential elections and several other elections.  Rove currently works as a political analyst for Fox News, Newsweek and the Wall Street Journal.  I have no doubt that Karl Rove is going to try to put his Midas touch on McCain’s campaign.

The Democratic Party needs our help to combat the Darth Vaders of the Republican Party.  The Democratic Party needs help to open offices, hire staff and to make sure John McCain does not win.  We need 270 electoral votes to win on November 4.

On Friday Senator Obama met with his staff and volunteers at his Chicago Headquarters to thank and motivate them for the next leg of the campaign.  Watch the video:

I have no affiliation with the Obama campaign, but I know sometimes we get busy and don’t think about the ‘little’ things.  This is just a reminder that if you can, please donate what you can ($10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or more) to Senator Obama’s campaign at:
